EWING — St. John’s Baptist Church will hold its 8th annual auto and motorcycle show, swap meet and barbecue on Saturday, July 21, at Wiggins Park, at the corner of Somerset Street and Oregon Avenue off Pennington Road (Route 31).
The show will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The rain date is July 22.
A drag racing seminar will be held at 1 p.m., and 20 trophies will be awarded at 2 p.m., including Pastor’s Pick, Deacon’s Decision, People’s Choice for 1948 and earlier, and Peoples Choice for 1949 and later years
‘Enter all years, makes and models,’ invites Ron Hines, the show’s spokesman. ‘We will be looking for street rods, pro streeters, low riders, customs, vans, modified trucks, bicycles, kit cars, racing cars, antiques, classics and stock production.’
No burnouts will be allowed, and violators will be asked to leave, Hines noted.
Entry fee is $5 in advance or pay $6 at the gate ($2 for bicycles). Add $5 for ‘cars for sale.’ Send checks payable to St. John’s Baptist Church and mail to 70 Oregon Ave., Ewing, NJ 08638.
Admission is $2; under 12 free. Vendors pay $10.
